NETBALL CLUBS FOR SCHOOLS

Fun and inclusive netball clubs for boys and girls delivered by trained and experienced coaches at your school

PRIMARY SCHOOL NETBALL

Netball is a brilliant sport for teaching children that great teamwork is about much more than scoring goals. With different positions and responsibilities across the court, every player has an important part to play, encouraging children to trust one another, communicate and recognise the value of their teammates.

Our Primary School Netball clubs are designed for girls and boys aged 5–11, with sessions adapted to introduce the game in an age-appropriate and enjoyable way.

Children learn and practise key Netball skills including passing, catching, footwork, shooting, defending and movement into space, before bringing everything together through activities and match play. Our experienced coaches ensure beginners feel comfortable learning the basics while giving more confident players opportunities to develop their technique and understanding of the game.

Delivered weekly after school, our KS1 and KS2 Netball clubs can help schools introduce more pupils to the sport and provide an enjoyable pathway for children who want to continue playing and progressing.

WHAT IS NETBALL ALL ABOUT?

The fast movement of Netball helps develop agility, balance, coordination and reaction speed, while passing and creating space challenges children to think ahead and make decisions quickly. Because players must work together to move the ball down the court, Netball naturally encourages cooperation, patience and awareness of others. It’s also a fantastic environment for developing confidence, friendships and a sense of belonging, while teaching children to compete positively, respect decisions and support their team whether they win or lose.

about PLAY SPORTS JUNIORS after school sessions

Boys and girls of any ability can expect to gain valuable netball experience over planned, weekly extra-curricular sessions during term-time. Aimed at school years 1 to 6, Play Sports Juniors helps develop agility, balance, and coordination through a mix of games, physical activities, and skill-building exercises, split into KS1 and KS2 after-school groups.

For Play Sports Juniors, one of the most important things to us is promoting the social side of sport and the sense of belonging to a team. Playing in a team has huge personal, social and emotional benefits and we firmly believe that there is a sport for everyone.

If children can have positive experiences of sport during their time at school, they can bring these experiences into their adult lives, continuing to stay active and enjoy taking on new sports and challenges in the future.

PLAY NETBALL JUNIORS ARE proud to partner with flyhawk!

Much like our women’s leagues at Play Netball, every single one of our After School Netball sessions will benefit from using a selection of colourful size 4 or 5 (age dependant) Flyhawk netballs to train and play with!

“As one of the largest providers of fun and friendly Netball Leagues across the UK, our collaboration is a perfect fit with our shared passion of making netball accessible to as many people as possible. We are excited to work with the team at Play Sports Leagues as their new official match ball partner.”
